We always have good supplies of favourite species such as haddock, Scottish salmon, cod, rainbow trout, sea bass, halibut, monkfish and more. If you want your fish vacuum-packed for freezing then just ask – and if you’d like your fish breadcrumbed we’ll be glad to do it.
We also stock fresh king scallops, oysters, mussels, langoustines, lobster, dressed crab and fishcakes.

Our range reflects the fact that in Scotland we produce some of the finest smoked fish in the world.
We typically stock smoked salmon slices, Arbroath smokies, whole kippers, smoked mackerel and more. You can also pick up smoked salmon and smoked mackerel pâtés by John Ross Jr – suppliers to HM the Queen – as well as smoked salmon trimmings for use in flans, pasta and homemade pâté.
While our primary focus is on fresh fish and seafood, at George Hughes we also supply an array of frozen seafood to make planning meals a little easier.
Stock varies but typically features scampi (breaded or peeled), whitebait, king prawns (raw or cooked) and squid tubes.
Although fish and seafood is always the centrepiece of a meal following a trip to George Hughes, to bring out the best in your selection you’ll need other items to hand.
